The brewery of “Yamasan Masamune”. Since its founding in 1877, Sakamochida Honten has been passing down the traditional skills of Izumo Toji under the auspices of Saka Shrine, which enshrines the god of sake brewing. Five buildings, including the storehouse and inspection center, have been designated as national cultural properties and still retain their appearance from over 140 years ago. All of the koji is handmade. From ginjo sake to regular sake such as josen, all of the sake is made from rice grown in Shimane Prefecture.
Do you ever have trouble finding the right sake? What is sake meter reading? What is yeast? During the experience, you will learn how to read the labels to find your favorite sake, and you will taste three types of sake.
