The aroma of soy sauce wafting through the streets of Mochida Soy Sauce Shop adds a touch of handcraftedness to the streets of Momen Kaido. In the two-story brewery, they make re-brewed soy sauce that is aged in wooden barrels for over three years. Their signature product, Hagoromo Sashimi Soy Sauce, is a thick and sweet soy sauce made by squeezing the aged mash, brewed using soy sauce made instead of salt water, and is characterized by the natural fermentation and boat-pressing method that they have been using since the shop’s founding. During the experience, you can learn about the re-brewed soy sauce production method while tasting soy sauce soft serve ice cream made with rich re-brewed soy sauce. A nice souvenir is also included.
