Brewery of “Yamasan Masamune”. Since its founding in 1877, Sakamochida Honten has been passing down the long-standing skills of Izumo Toji under the auspices of Saka Shrine, which enshrines the god of sake brewing. Five buildings, including the storehouse and inspection center, have been designated national cultural properties and still retain their appearance from over 140 years ago. All of the koji is handmade. All of the sake, from ginjo sake to regular sake such as josen, is made from rice grown in Shimane Prefecture. Please try
this carefully crafted sake born in Izumo, the birthplace of sake brewing.
