Momen Kaido Communication Center
MOMENKAIDOUKOURYUUKAN
Momen Kaido Communication Center was built as a place to disseminate Hirata’s commerce and history and culture, and as a place for cultural exchange. This building is a restoration of the “Old Nagasaki House,” known as the “Surgery Mansion” in the early modern period. The neighboring Motoishibashi Residence was the landowner’s house at the time, and dates back to around 1750. Admission is accepted at the Communication Center.

We handle reception for admission (with guide) to the Ishibashi Residence (a building built around 1750 that was the neighboring landowner’s house at the time). We also have easy-to-understand maps of the Momen Kaido and the “Momen Kaido Exploration Guide Pamphlet” that allows you to experience and enjoy the Momen Kaido. Please feel free to stop by as we are a space to disseminate information about the Momen Kaido.
Training Building
It can be used for a variety of purposes, including live performances and concerts for up to 50 people, historical and cultural training and meetings, and exhibitions and sales during events. Inside the white-walled storehouse, you can feel the nostalgic atmosphere of the time.
